Air humidification in data centres

Despite high safety measures to eliminate electrostatic discharges, it happens again and again that sensitive hardware components in data centres are damaged. Air humidifiers in data centres ensure that electrostatic discharges and damage to sensitive hardware are prevented.

Also of very high importance is the extreme generation of heat energy by the hardware components. The humidifier not only serves to eliminate electrostatic discharges, but also acts as a heat transfer medium. The humidified air is crucial for heat transfer via the heat exchangers of the cooling systems. Dry air is a very good insulator and can absorb and conduct poor heat. Dry air makes the cooling systems run longer, which has a negative impact on operating costs.
